REACHING NEW HEIGHTS

Koenigshof offers guests a new perspective on Munich and the Alps

February 2026 – Munich is usually experienced in motion: along its boulevards, between museums, cafés, and classical architecture. Now, Koenigshof, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Munich, invites guests to rediscover the city from an entirely new vantage point—not from street level, but from the sky. As the only hotel in Munich to offer private panoramic flights over the city and into the Alps, Koenigshof creates an experience that seamlessly blends urban elegance with alpine grandeur.

In collaboration with the Bavarian airline Alpen Air, the journey begins—upon request—with a private transfer to Augsburg Airport. The flights, lasting up to two hours, are intentionally intimate: each guest is guaranteed a window seat aboard a high-wing Cessna T206H with panoramic windows. Accompanied by the pilot’s insights into the landscape and region, the experience unfolds as something far more lasting than a fleeting moment.

The extended route reaches as far as the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak, which appears strikingly close from above. Landmarks such as the Olympic Stadium, Allianz Arena, and Neuschwanstein Castle come together along the way, forming a perspective only visible from the air. Lakes, castles, and mountain ranges reveal a landscape that feels both familiar and entirely new.

“When guests return, we want them to remember more than just a beautiful hotel—we want them to remember a moment that stays with them. That is exactly the kind of memory we aim to create at Koenigshof.”
– Rabea Möller, General Manager

Back at Koenigshof, the experience concludes in style—with a drink at the GRETA OTO Bar or dinner overlooking Stachus. The flight becomes not a standalone activity, but a curated extension of a stay that presents Munich from an unexpected and exceptionally exclusive perspective.

The arrangement is available from the Grand Junior Suite category with a minimum stay of three nights. Departures take place from Augsburg Airport, approximately 40 minutes from Munich city center.
